Louboutin Fetish & Chance to Win

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a bit of an obsession with shoes – the higher the heel, the better. I also have a habit of describing things that are fetching or fashionable as “fun.” Fun shoes, fun trips, fun fashion, fun dinners out… fun = fantastic. I’m not sure what the next step is (fun to the n-th degree?), but Christian Louboutin’s divine shoewear creations would definitely fall into that category.

The popular fashion site Net-A-Porter notes that Louboutin’s design ethos is “to create shoes that are like jewels.” The French designer, who launched his first collection to the public in 1991, certainly succeeds, with each design having something that makes it special and intrinsically alluring. From hard-edged cage heels to ethereal silk bows adorning leather peep-toe pumps, each shoe is artfully crafted. The designer’s signature glossy red sole on each soaring heel is like a lipstick kiss – a delightful and unexpected added touch.

As seems to be a theme in my life, Louboutins aren’t particularly budget friendly – consigned to the same elite category as Jimmy Choos and Manolo Blahniks. But, aren’t they gorgeous?

Right now, the fashion blog site Splendora is having an online sweepstakes, giving away FIVE of Louboutin’s divine creations – all selected for the lucky winner by Splendora’s editor Gina Pell. Sign up here before May 1.

The sign up page says, “Better love  heels, because there are typically no flats.” Yes, please… sign me up!
